A bomb blast analysis is conducted to determine the effects of a bomb blast on existing or proposed buildings, parking structures and other facilities. CTI is presently on the Transportation Security Administration's nationwide list of approved companies capable of conducting bomb blast effect surveys in support of increased security alert levels at U.S. commercial airports. CTI's staff works with architects and engineers in the design phase of airport facilities to insure TSA compliance and meet present and potential threat levels. This is accomplished using existing engineering specs and walk-thru investigations, coupled with scientifically developed formulas to determine blast effects.
Using FAA approved programs, CTI has successfully regained parking areas, formerly restricted under FAR SCA3 300-foot parking restrictions. One hundred percent of parking has been regained, for our client airports, with no restrictions.
