Ensure the integrity and uninterrupted operation of physical security systems by managing and overseeing teams which perform installation, testing, maintenance and repair of intrusion detection systems (IDS) and equipment: automated video recording, closed circuit television systems (CCTV), access control devices, locking hardware and alarm systems. Evaluate installed commercial systems, assist in security systems design, prepare technical specifications and provide technical guidance to team technicians.
Related tasks include responding to emergency conditions, some shift work, periodic U.S. travel and being on 24 hour call. Must be capable of obtaining Monitor Dynamics, Inc. (MDI) SAFEnet certification within 15 months of employment. Physical requirements include the ability to climb a 16/24-foot ladder, lift 45 pounds, work from the rooftops of multi-story buildings and ledges and perform manual installation operations outdoors. Requires at least six years of directly related experience and an Associate of Science degree in an electronics discipline or ten plus years of directly related experience. US citizenship and an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
