Perform site security assessments to determine risk factors and identify clients’ current and future security needs, design integrated security and telecommunications systems, provide comprehensive security program support and develop plans, designs and other recommendations for integrating new security programs with existing ones. Assist clients in the transition to biometric technologies and in the integration of these new technologies into existing infrastructure. Develop policy standards addressing physical security requirements. Translate end user requirements into written scope and generate drawings and specifications. Prepare Statements of Work inclusive of floor plans.
Requires specific experience and in-depth knowledge of physical security requirements and the application of countermeasures for the protection and safeguarding of life, information, assets and property. Must include specialized experience related to the application, installation and use of the following: access control, alarm monitoring, asset protection, video surveillance (CCTV), communication systems, intrusion detection systems, security console design and life and safety management as well as in-depth familiarity with power distribution, grounding, lighting, building systems and low voltage electronics. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of five years of directly related experience, strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with individuals at all management levels. A BS in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable; candidates with extensive experience will be considered. Ability to travel is required; travel time per month will vary. Must be a US citizen. An active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one is highly desirable.
